Ankle joints
Great suggstions RASor, and I like the fun combination of stuff. However, I must just point out that if skates have rigid anlke support, the calf muscles (and therefore the ankles) becoem very weak.

I skate a lot, and I find that if I have skated and not done much else for a few weeks, when I get back toother activities, my ankles are wobbly, and my calf muscles have lost condition +++.

The other suggestiosn are excellent.

I would like to add - standing on one leg, and once this is easy, close eyes. this si very, very good for rehabilitation after a twisted anlke, as it works both joint-position sense and ankle stabilisers.

If you want to get very serious, you could try building or buying a thing called a balance board, which is a round disc about 80cm across, wiht a 1/2 sphere of metal nailed underneath. The sphere makes a rocking surface, so the disc is very unstable. You stand on it, initially with two feet, eyes open, then eyes closed, then one foot eyes open, and then, if you can, one foot, eyes closed. There are specific exerciese you can do with this as well, such as rolling the rim around rocking back and fort.

RASor's suggestions are excelletn, because they are everyday activities and are fun. The balance board is more for rehab, or if you know you ahve weak ankles, and eg want to work on something constructive (other than stretching) while you watch television.
