Hi,

I had a visitor drop by for a class who was in town for a few days from China who traines at a Kyokushin Union dojo in China and he had never done the Taikeyoku kata's or seen them before. They start right away with the Pinan's and don't do Taikeyoku kata.

Has anyone ever heard of this before? This is the first that I have encountered, and I am curious as to the thought/reasoning behind this. Do any other groups or organizations do this as well?
