When it comes to pads my preference is Winning and Title. Winning is very expensive but extremely durable. I bought some pads in Japan back in 1997 and after 11 years of lots of abuse they're still as good as the day I bought them (minus some dirt). I also have a Winning KB2308 Big Mitt. When we stack that up against the Isami Bit Mitt at the dojo there's really no comparison; Winning is far superior.

Title Boxing is great too. They have a MMA product line that has a lot of gear that can be used for knockdown training.

I'd stay away from anything that Century or Adidas makes. I haven't had very good experiences with their equipment. When they design their equipment they probably don't have a full contact fighter in mind.
