you would count bjj as a traditional style? ive always noted traditional styles as the ones with guiding principles or codes of conduct. theres no such discipline in mma. pretty much every mma guy ive met thinks nothing of fighting (or in the case of bjj - "rolling") outside the gym. at the same time ive only trained traditionally and every style ive done has discouraged or forbade fighting outside the dojo.
go to a place and learn to be a better person = traditional
go to a place and learn to beat on people = mma
