Excelent video....I remember watching that fight liveo n tv back in 95....good memories.....
Tks.

P.s. Mestre Hulk (not so "Hulk" to me....lol:D......).made the classical error for capoeira fighters...they normally move foward too "opened" giving some very good spots to land a punch or kick....and they are not used to take blows because in rodas de capoeira (capoera fights in portuguese) they normally do not fight for real, they do no land the kicks. So they kick very well and their kicks are very strong, but they are not used to get hit.........

Osu!

I think in this case, no amount of conditioning would prepare him for the 118kg punch to the jaw. ;)

I remember having to fight Jean Riviere at my 2nd Kyu test. His thigh's measured 30 inches around. He was a monster that had the speed of a middleweight. Me, I did my best impersonation of a makiwara...

Do you know why he did not fight in the 6th World Open?

Ok,ok,ok....you got a point......:D.......afterall there is no "conditioning the head stuff"........but what I meant is that because they don't hit each other on rodas de capoeira, they normally atack without any proper hand position and are not used to take real blows (see the video posted against Mark Kerr, he just run away from the fight). But I know what you mean, not many people would take that punch from the canadian guy without being KO.

He drifted away from Kyokushin to try early MMA from what I understand. He damaged his knees and it ended his fighting career.
