The footwork, dribbling tricks of Ronaldinho (and many other top Brazilian players) remind me of the cutting-edge techniques of Brazilian karatekas. As for Englands win it was a good reslut against a difficult team. I am afraid that the match against Australia was there best chance of scoring any points. Ronaldo and the other FW didn't play well as expected. Croatia needs more accuracy and after all the goalkeeper of Brazil is very good, who blocked some very close attacks. OSU! I am off to Italy tommorow for two weeks so Im looking forward to the Italy Vs Australia game on monday - should be a great occasion. One croatian player (who is actually australian) ended up with 3 yellow cards but was still on the field, not to mention the rugby tackle of viduka :S three games three dodgy refs. Hopefully there a decent one for Italy. I dont see him reffing many more games in Germany. About 5 of the australian players have croatian heritage, including the crappy goal keeper. edit:it would seem that australia are good at rugby too :) Fire! 07-06-2006, 11:50 AM The final, Italy vs France. Obviously the Australian guy was lying on the floor and Grosso simply kept running towards the downed guy and "tripped" himself. So very ugly! And I also feel deep sympathy for Roonie. If the referee had blown the whistle a bit earlier (Rooney was being pulled and pushed by guys from Portugal) Rooney would not be stepping on that guy. As for the soccer i couldnt bring myself to watch the whole game through. The Italian's style of play is one that annoys me greatly.
