Shihan Andre Gilbert has announced that the date for his annual knockdown tournament next year will be Saturday March 23rd 2012.
The big news is that Shihan Francisco Filhio will be attending and giving a seminar on Sunday March 24th in Montreal!

OSU, more details:
I erred when I looked at the Calendar: The tournament is Saturday March 24th. The Weigh in is Friday March 23rd.
Entries must be received by March 1, 2012. Dorectly to info@karate-andregilbert.com or you can email me for assistance as well info@torontokykushin.com
Shihan Francisco Filhio is confirmed to be in attendace and will be giving a 4 hour seminar on Sunday the 25th. I will be posting this as a separate event but the two are on the same weekend in Montreal.

Montreal is only 6 hours north of NJ/NY. I used to drive down all the time when I lived there. Definatey worth coming up for the seminar and to watch the fights. Shorter drive than Rochester I would think.

I made four (4) attempts at reaching someone at Shihan Gilbert Dojo to answer inquiries as to the different divisions being offered. I was politly advised by a female named Jean that someone would get back to me. No one did. Ever.
We made alternate plans. Maybe next year. :((
