A former world kyokushin champion, Miyano(2001 champion, Shinkyokushin) faces Yokoyama of Shidokan.

Miyano became a professional fighter after winning in a world kyokushin tournament in 2001.

Yokoyama has won countless titles in both Seido Kaikan and Shidokan that he has just won in 26th Shidokan Strong Open Tournament in middle weight division. He is thinking of participating in K-1MAX in near future.

Just a small note. Miyano holds impressive titles in IKO-2 (98 All-Japan Weight Middleweight/01 Karate World Cup - the only Japanese winner among all the weight categories) but he was from Byakurenkaiken (now operates his Miyano Dojo). He is perhaps the only "non-kyokushin kyokushin world champion".

OSU!

Dear Azimuth,
Yes it's Miyano Takahiro's dojo.

The rules they are using is called "yuseikai blackbelt rules" (2minx2R) and it should be kind of knockdown.

This is a picture of Yokoyama in the last installment of the same event

Miyano was replaced by Miura and he was knocked out by Yokoyama with a tobi hiza geri.

And Yokoyama has just been scheduled to fight Ahamad Doulat Abadi(05 Asia Super Cup Kenshinkan World Tournament Middle Weight Division - 2nd place/Kenshinkan Iran) in a karate bout in an MMA event organized by Shidokan in Japan.
