OSU.
i was curious to know what are the various ways in which kicks to the legs can be done? i mean iknow some types like low front kick, low side kick, low round kick, low reverse round kick, low back spinning reverse round kick, kakuto geri (from this forum), hook kick (from a shaolin movie), purring kick (from bruce lee books), sweep kicks (from shokei matsui & shihan filho's fight clips), low knee kick (from ashiharakai rules video), etc. but are there any other ways of executing kicks to the legs? if yes what are those ways? like -
1) the name of the kick & its origin?
2) its way of execution, place of contact, target areas & other technical details?
3) ways to maximise its power, i.e a different angle of the leg, a deeper turn of the grounded leg, lesser distance from the target etc?
as a follower of full contact knockdown karate, i wish to know the secrets of this deadly technique. hope u all will cooperate with me. thank you. OSU.

One way that I find very useful in a leg kick is when someone is punching at you step to the side and throw a round kick with you hands up, and lean back a little so you will not get hit to the head with a kick. Do not forget to turn your shoulders. This type of round kick is from a mixture of styles. Muay thai, Kyokushin, and Tae kwon do. It is good if the person is putting weight on his or her front leg while punching.

The low line kicks.. the ones you lift your knee and then throw a straight line kick to the oponent leg..can be done with the front or back leg.. can be used to hit some vital points in the legs, as well as to intercept the oponent's kick or stop him when he comes at you.
This kind of kicks can be found is Kung Fu styles particulary Wing Chun, Hung Gar, choy Lee fut.... or in Jujutsu (japanese).. or in Karate like in Shorin Ryu and Goju Ryu...and specially in the Filipino Martials Arts
