Osu,

Singapore Oyama Karate-do Kyokushinkai-kan (IKO1) will be holding their 1st Team Tournament & Childrens Tournament this coming Saturday (20th Jan) at The Chevrons Club in Jurong East, from 1pm to 5pm. Shihan Peter Chong will be the Head Judge.

Initiated & organised by Sensei Tham Boon Kit, this is the first time such a tournament will be held in Singapore. The team event aims to enhance every Dojo's esprit de corp & therefore, every fighter in the team is important. To ensure that a team moves into the next round, each team must win 2 out of 3 fights in order to advance. The teams will be made up of 1 female fighter, 1 male fighter (under 38yrs) and one senior male fighter (38yrs plus).

For the Kids tournament, it will allow a new generation to gain experience & groom future fighters for participation in the World Children Tournament.

On the off-chance that any forum members are passing through Singapore this weekend, please come down to the Chevrons and watch what is hoped will be a spectacular event. Tickets are S$5. (Which is just to cover the cost of the door gift.)

Many thanks to the organisers for putting the event together. Best of luck to all the fighters, especially the teams from West Dojo!

Osu!

I wish I could make it. I absolutely love Singapore... particularly Club Zouk.

Good luck to all fighters and I hope you have a great event.
