Great that the women get the highlight they deserve. They train just as hard if not harder then the men and always get the back seat. Its time they get the front seat

The Karate representative Magdanela Jarecka (Shi-Kon Gym) won her first fight 2-1 over a Korean fighter, but lost to Marloes Coenen in the semi-finals (choke sleeper 2R1:35). Coenen and Modafferi fought in the final and Coenen won by 2-1. Though Coenen successful pulled out a ankle hold at the end of 1R, she was taken down by Modafferi in 2R into the mount position and received massive pounding. Modafferi, as an English teacher in Japan, is worried about a lack of time for training. She will save up the 10,000 dollars of prize money and hopefully it will provide her with more (financial) freedom for training. She also wants to have a party with everyone in Keisyukai.

Awesome!!! Roxy is a doll. I met her once only but she took us to the fish markets and to a Shooto tournament (two of the best places in Tokyo IMHO ... maybe on earth!) Very nice girl... you'd never think she was a fighter ;)
