osu fellow karateka,
we are planning our 4th annual shidokan team usa tournament in atlanta ga. 3 four man touranments, lightweight (under 155lbs, middle 170-185lbs, and heavy (over 205lbs). winner has to win 2 bouts. first place $2000usd (runner up $500). format: 1x3min bareknuckle, 1x3 thaiboxing, 1x3 mma. winners will make up us team for the annual shidokan world open in chicago (dec '07). visit shidokanatlanta.com for contact info and questions. it is our hope to get more karateka competing as in the past we mainly get kickboxers and mma fighters. karateka seem to be reluctant to test themselves in anything other than their own styles. we are able to get a few, but i really want to get some true hardcore karateka to compete.
