Awesome resources, thank you. I have a grading exam tomorrow and learning terms is much easier if you know what it means

Are we talking about a white belt beginner? Or 10th kyu, 9th kyu? What?

Because with the first few months (3 or so, till you get 10th Kyu) i don't think they should be worried about terminology, it shouldn't even be a major thing for a 10th Kyu, as they are still learning the basic moves and seeing if they like the style. (Getting told about a grading could scare a white belt, let alone telling them that they have to learn another language >.< )

Saying that though, some people might learn better through words, to know 'Lunge Punch' might help a beginner understand their basic moves.

and all of that is just an opinion.

There are a few words though that a student should know/know the meaning of.
eg. Sensei (or Shihan or the meaning of their instructors title)
The meaning of their Style, dojo.. etc.
