osu everyone!

Wandering around the internet for advice on training and strengthening, when I found myself here...

Basically, looking to test for 1st kyu in December '07 ( :D ) after shoulder surgery in March '07. (for those interested: glenoid labrum tear)

Lacking confidence, as I haven't really done Kumite since then. I know (the fear) it's all in my head...my body remembers how to spar. It's second nature. These past few months, I've been working hard to getting my strength to where it was pre-surgery. Honestly, with just about a month left, I'm getting a tiny bit concerned. Will I be able to pull it off? Or be forced to wait until March??

Anyway, I'm looking forward to finding some helpful advice and motivation from all of you. Osu-EN1

Welcome to the site! Glad that you are here.
Sounds like you have gone through a lot with shoulder.

I am sure that you will find others who have gone through something similar.

Take a look around the site, read, ask questions...absorb!

There is a ton of information, and years of experience from karateka around the world!

Welcome, this is the site for high quality Kyokushin related info.
My 10 cents, formulate a training plan with your Sensai, geared towards your goal.Start slow but continue forward. If you have a green light from your physician it is mainly a mental attitude, and KK is the best answer for that.
good luck
