The opening party of A.E. Factory was held on 11/9 at Setagaya in Tokyo. This facility is for bringing up professional fighters. Coaches include Nicholas Pettas Shihan (for stand-up fighting) and former PRIDE fighter Shoji Akira (for MMA).

Nicholas Pettas Shihan: "This is a place for brining up renown fighters. Today, Katugogi is no longer in a time that the more you hit the stronger you become. I want to introduce the best training and bring up Japanese fighters who can compete at the world level".

Shoji Akira: "The cooperation with Nicholas enables the bringing up of strong fighters. I want the A.E. Factory in Japan to be like Red Devil (in Russia), Brasilian Top Team and Chute Boxe." There is a strong desire in his words.

Mark Ginther (fitness trainer): "I shall enjoy instructing in the future. I want to make the Japanese fighters strong."

Interesting...

I wonder if this is a full time shift in Pettas Shihan's time, or if this will be infused with the other things that he is doing...

Yeah, I hope this doesn't mean that he will be stepping out of the ring for good. His last couple of fights didn't end in victory, but I really enjoy watching him fight and I hoped I could see him win a championship again.

Thanks for the info - I also hope he fights again - he seems to have had more than his share of bad luck.

I think he still has two more fights in his contract. However i think he'll be sent to the wolfes again (maybe against someone like Jerome Lebanner or Remy Bonjasky).

If that is the case, lets hope that he goes out with a bang, and drops these guys to the mat!

Those would both be tough fights but it would be sweet if he could win.

No doubt that it would be an uphill battle...

Hopefully though, he can impart some of his knowledge and experience thorugh this new venture.
