My Niece (also one of my former students) is working for a year in Berlin. She would like to resume her kyokushin training.
Can anyone give us a contact to find a Kyokushin (or closely related) dojo in Berlin.
Help much appreciated.

thanks Lucy - that's a great start, because if they aren't what my niece is after perhaps they can direct her on. I've told her to be fairly flexible about which "brand" of kyokushin she trains with, as she is kyu grade, and last graded a long time ago.
Other suggestions gratefully received!

Both adresses from Lucy are shinkyokushin (though I had a pretty hard time finding that out, even though I am in the DKO ;) ) but I'd recommend Sensei Mutz' Dojo if she isn't too interested in hard fighting. In addition, he's a great guy and a good teacher.
Do you know where exactly in Berlin she'll be staying?

This link seems to have a page with links to any Kyokushin Groups in Germany

I hope this helps
There is a large Ashihara dojo in Berlin. They regularly compete in the Sabaki Challenge Spirit (World Championship), and are the organizers of Fighting Day (http://www.kyokushin4life.com/forums/events-finder/3242-fighting-day-2007-open-german-knock-down-karate-berlin.html) or what is formerly known as German Open, open to all knock-down styles. It is also the dojo in which Sempai Enrico Rogge (http://www.kyokushin4life.com/forums/fighter-profiles/2443-niko-enrico-rogge.html) practice, amongst other good fighters.
Their website can be found at www.ashihara.de (http://www.ashihara.de/)
I think that Oyama Karate Club Berlin is the dojo of Muzaffer Bacak so to me it would be an easy choice!
Shihan Thomas Imm has one or two dojo`s in Berlin. I can recommend Oyama-Kyokushinkai-Karate Verein Berlin e.V. (http://www.okkv.de/)
Its, as far as i can see, mainly run by senpai`s Frank Hunold, Kristen Reinhardt and Janka (dont know her last name). I have trained with them on many occasions and i can recommend them.

osu seienchin,
i´m with alan: it´s an easy choice: muzaffer bacak, former two times european middleweight champion and runner up in 1999 world champs, 6th in 2003 is teaching in this dojo:

there is also shihan ingo freier, one of the "oldest" kyokushin teachers within europe (his kyokushin history went back to the early 60´s). all other named schools (t. imm, w. mutz) are former students of him. sensei l. dudek, actual national coach of german men-squad, is also teaching there.
so your student will have enough choice. ;-)
