I have to say that Overeem went up in my estimation. I hadn't heard from him for quite a while, and then this excellent outing.
I was also pleasantly surprised by Manhoef. Technically, he's been very good, but he really carried himself well in the post-fight interview. If he keeps it up, he could gain real popularity.

I knew about this yesterday (www.lockflow.com (http://www.lockflow.com)) and was surprised to hear about Schilt winning by triangle choke :)
Also surprised that Alistair ko'd Hari as quick as he did but in a good way!

With those long legs, a triangle should be a natural for him. I've repeatedly tried getting past Matt Thornton's guard, and although he's about 5 inches shorter than Schilt, it's damn hard!

I agree but it still surprised me to see Schilt pull it off..I would be surprised to see Cheick Kongo pull of a triangle choke, too!
Next time just straight blast Matt ;)!

This was a great event!
Many good fights and some suprises!
Did not think Aoki was able to take Alwarez,and not so quick!!
Manhoef..oh yes he did well,and as you say in the fight and after.
Whar Overeem said after the fight with Hari ,was almost as good as the fight :)

I never trained with him or SBI but trained with a lot of students of his that would move from Oregon to WA. This was 7-8 years ago and they all seemed to have solid boxing and their BJJ was good, too. Is he in your neck of the woods now? I hope we're talking about the same person :)

Same guy. :)
He used to visit our area with decent regularity, and his rep for that area was a good guy who invited us to participate. Good stuff to practice.
