Semmy Schilt is ashihara karate. Not kyokushin but about as close as you can get. Apart from being the current k-1 kickboxing champ, he is also a pride veteran with a 4-3-0 record in pride.

Masaaki Satake started out as Seidokaikan knockdown karate fighter in k-1 before he switched to Pride for a better deal.

Bas Rutten holds a 5th Degree Black Belt in Kyokushin but he tested for his 2nd degree...(the 5th degree was offered to him when he smoked some fighter I forgot who it was...in training)

Has Bas competed in pride? He was commentator there a while ago, but I dont think he ever competed there.
As far as I know he has only competed in pancrase and ufc (where he will make a comback in a few weeks).

(not that sherdog is always that relieable, but they usualy have a good grip on pride fight record.

well the thread starter asked if there are any kyokushin karateka in Pride...

so since Bas is a commentator for Pride...he is technically in Pride...

You are right though he has not competed in Pride...

He is fighting Kimo in July under WFA...not UFC...it will be interesting to see how he does though...hope he fights in Pride eventually!

As will I...anything can happen in MMA though that is why I love it! Hopefully Bas doesn't take Kimo lightly and under estimate him!

I want Bas to fight Wanderlei Silva or atleast have Rickson Gracie come out of retirement and honor Bas's challenge to him...that would be the fight event of all time...in my opinion!

Unfortunately I think the only way Bas could beat Wanderlei is by submission, not by strikes. I respect Bas a lot and I personally think he has the best style in mma but that doesn't mean he's the best fighter.
Against Rickson, umm...Bas would have to be lucky and that's only if the rumours are true that Rickson will ever fight again. Hopefull if/when Rickson does come out of retirement that he fights somebody decent.
p.s. yes, I know Wanderlei is also a black belt in bjj..but I think Bas could out grapple him.

Bas Rutten has a black belt in Kyokushin, but I wouldn't necessarily say that he is a representative of Kyokushin Karate. He's trained in many different styles.

Ryuta Noji (who placed in the Top 8 of the 7th World Tournament) left Kyokushinkaikan and fights in the Pancrase promotion, but he doesn't fight very frequently and doesn't win all his matches to be considered a top contender for larger promotions.

Yoshinori Ikeda has fought in a few MMA matches. Recently, he lost by triangle choke to Hideo Tokoro in K-1 Heros. I don't know how much of a name that he's made for himself in actual karate competition, however. But he would seem very C-level for karate and MMA if we haven't heard much from him.

Osu! Senpai Ikeda Yoshihiro was in the Japanese team in the 2002 Brazil world cup. Although I have not seen his fights many times but I hear he is quite known in kyokushin Japan.

Satake retired from fighting. He now runs his own karate dojo.
