OSU,
Im a student at Southampton uni, and I studied Kyokushin for 2 years at Milton Keynes before coming to uni. The thing is, there are no dojos near here, and as I'm sure as many of you will know if you have taken a break from kyokushin, I am craving it and missing it LOADS!
I saw a previous post a few years ago and someone suggested another style of martial art, but this just didn't seem to have the same discipline I miss.
Is there anyone in the Southampton area that would like to meet up and not neccesarily start a dojo or anything huge like that, but just keep our heads in the game with just some simple practice. By the way, I am only a 7th Kyu so cannot teach in any way!! Any suggestions or people willing to help please respond. I can't be the only Kyokushin in Southampton!

OSU Tightman, you are quite right, you cannot be the only kyokushin in South Hampton. There are a lot of top notch karatekas from the UK lurking on K4L; no doubt they will help you. Would you mind write an introduction for yourself in the dedicated forum section so we can give you a proper K4L signature welcome? Thank you OSU!

One of my students moved to the Southampton area a couple of years ago and was looking for somewhere to train, I'll try to contact him and see what the out come was

I have left a message on the guys mobile (hope he hasnt changed his number) I'm heading to the BKK Open today and wont be back until Sunday, if I havent heard anything by then I will contact his family who are still local to me and get his new contact details.
