Roadtrip to Manchester

I finally met Dobbersky-san in person a few days ago . He was a bit different from what i imagined him . How difficult is it to put a face on just a name.
We had some chit-chat and a coffee and made an appointment for the week to come .

He was so kind to come and pick me up today and to take me to the Main Dojo of Ashihara UK .
I witnessed karate kid class and was delighted to see them at training .
Think i counted twenty-some .

With 4 instructors taking care of 2 groups of kids i think they do a great job .

I don't want to critisize , it is not my place or intension to do so but maybe these kids get away with it a bit to easy .Lots of sloppy movements and too little respect .Just my humble opinion .

I thought i take some pictures because its nice as a souvenir , little did i knew that in the UK it is not allowed to take pictures from kids that are not yours . I can assure that i was only intrested in the Martial Art side of the event and nothing else

Then finally Adult training .
Only 6 participants this evening .
This club deserves more .Training was correct and technical (no mercy for the grown ups here )
Warming up - Ido - Bunkai- A touch of Krav Maga - a few practical applications and some stamina at the end of the class .
An hour and a half passes before you know it .

Will definately go back in the weeks to come .

Osu.. we have a privacy thing happening in our country too.. picture taking is a real difficult thing to do.

It is interesting to meet someone face to face that you've only known by their name. It sounds like you weren't disappointed at all! I'm glad that you had a great time.

Yeah the kids in our Dojo get away with alot of slack too. I think Sensei is trying to keep them interested and not to scare them away. There are a few who slop off alot and he makes them do pushups. That always cracks me up.
