Near 3,000 postings!

Posted 05-02-2008 at 01:21 PM by supergroup7
OH MY GOSH!

I've been working, and training in karate, and housekeeping, and raising my children. Finally, when I had a few moments to return to this forum, I find near 3,000 postings that are waiting for me to read!!!!!

I only had time to read, and respond to 3 of them, and even then, I couldn't read them as thoroughly as I wished. AGGHH.. if only I could stretch time the way that I can make 1 pound of ground beef feed 10 people!!

Ah.. but it...

Oh oh.. a darn injury slowing me down.

I sustained an injury to one of my shins which makes any touch or pressure on that leg break into sharp pain. I can walk, run, jump with no discomfort, but let a butterfly land on my shin in that certain spot, and I'm whimpering like a puppy. All that I did was brush that shin against a couch cushion as I was cleaning my house, and it felt like glass shards had exploded into my leg.

Thank goodness for hard training..

Posted 03-09-2008 at 08:51 PM by supergroup7
Again, I have found myself thanking my Sensei in my mind for the good training that he has provided for me in the dojo. I was at work, and we had quite a hard day ahead of us to complete the work that needed to be done in those 8 hours. Almost everyone that I was working with suffered from awful pains in the back, and legs during the course of the day, but all that I found myself doing was getting a little breathless for awhile. I just stopped, and took a few deep breaths, and continued on with...

Karate is hard to do with less sleep, and more demands

Posted 03-02-2008 at 03:26 AM by supergroup7
I've been recently working full time hours, rushing home to take care of the children/housework/meals, and then rushing to the dojo to train.

The combination of the activities has not been gentle on my body. I feel so weak when I train sometimes that I wonder if I can finish the exercises commanded of me.

Slowly, I'm adjusting, recuperating ,and achieving, but it's a slow going process.

Last night was good. I finished class with a feeling of "Yes.....
