Dear smoothsake,
No news about it being released as a separate manga book. No idea how much of it is true, but I do not like that manga because I think Narushima Shihan is too "moe" in it. There is a new Karate manga (have not read it) that is being endorsed by Sanpei Keiji Shihan. It can be see in "Shonen Champion" and several volumes have been published. 空手婆娑羅伝銀二  OSU!
