Kyokushin Kata Bunkai Book/DVD???
OSU!
I’m pretty much interested in perfect my knowledge about the Kata moves and their real applications.
I’ve already Kyusho-jisu (Evan Pantazi), and Humane Pressure point self-defense, Kyusho-Jitsu and Ryukyu Kempo (George Dillman).
Those books are ok, but I’m not completely satisfied.
I’m looking about a good book or DVD about Bunkai, especially about the Pinan Kata or even more advanced kata (Kyokushin or Goju) …anybody knows something about that?
Best regards and OSU!!

There's a lot of really good stuff in print and dvd( in my opinion) by Shihan Iain Abernethy. His main style is wadu ryu.
Another good dvd I thought was, Tekki Shodan Naihanchi by
Master Angelo. I think it's Filipino Kyusho association he's from. I seen it recently. He's very good when it comes to pressure points.
Good luck in your search. Osu!

There are no books or dvds on kyokushin bunkai worth the trouble of getting them. I would not recommend anything by Dillman.

The best source for bunkai is, as mentioned by boldbhoy, Iain Abernethy
Iain Abernethy.com - DVDs and Videos

He is originally a Wado karate guy, but his bunkai are not style specific (and he tends to give " and in some other styles the do this, as a variation" aswell).
THere are differences from how kyokushin does the kata, but his videos (and books) shows how bunkai should be approached.

Try his dvd "Bunkai-Jutsu Volume 1:The Pinan / Heian Series"

ps, if you go to Shihan Abernethy's site, you can download ebooks there.
