Cool Favourite Bunkai
Which move in which kata conceals your favourite bunkai? What is it, and why do you think it is cool?

Mine:

Yantsu Opening sequence - grab/pull/punch/pull....It's a headbutt - simple, effective, mean...

Now - here is an optional challenge - see if you can explain your bunkai and why you like it in less than 50 words!!! (my attempt to keep it simple, readable, and most importantly...memorable!). (mine is 13 words - see if you can beat me)

Shouldnt there be a morote haito uchi jodan (strike to the sides of the neck) before that (to stun the oponent)

Sure- I know that this is sometimes taught this way, but when I learned Yantsu, the hand movement was completely linear in and out in the opening movements...to this day, I can hear my Sensei saying "grab, pull, punch, pull"..we didn't learn it with a haito at all. However, I have seen that done. Absolutely works. And enriches the bunkai. Could even be added without braking the 50 word limit.

Oh BTW - a picture = 1000 words...so the squirrel just blew it!

Mawashi uke being a head and arm wheel takedown. Probably my favorite so far.

Is the "ni-han haito jodan uchi's" because you are bringing your arms up and over an attackers grab..then elbowing backwards to break the grab? In the case I'd say straight or circular the techinque for the application is correct....
