Annual Shidokan World Open Sat Dec 1 '07
FOR ANYONE IN THE CHICAGO AREA THIS WEEKEND, THE U.S. SHIDOKAN IS HOSTING THE ANNUAL SHIDOKAN WORLD OPEN. THERE WILL BE A 4 MAN MIDDLEWEIGHT TRIATHLON TOURNAMENT (BARE KNUCKLE, THAI BOXING, MMA), A 4 MAN LIGHTWEIGHT MUAY TOURNAMENT, AND 3 SUPERFIGHTS (TRIATHLON AND MMA). middleweight triathlon fighters that i know of: brent weedman from kentucky (nidan in byrakuren karate and pro mma fighter), vljako perovic of (german shidokan black belt, thai boxer and mma fighter), i think jon kazuba (canada, mady's karate), and i think a fighter from poland or costa rica. jaral bowman fighing muay thai, chuck mady (of canada) against phil sehenuk (135 lbs triathlon match). philip botha, 2006 shidokan lightweight world open champ is fighting in the 4 man lightweight muay thai tournament. once i find out the exact line up, i will post and i will post the results too. there any no female bouts on this card (there has been on previous shows, but none that i no of at this moment). i will be in chicago tommorrow (friday) and let you guys know more.

Results of the 2007 World Shidokan Open:
4-man Thai Boxing Tournament: Semi Finals: Shingo Yokoyama (Japan) defeated Jaral Bowman (Shidokan Atlanta) in a close battle. Bowman drops Shingo in Round 1, but Shingo comes back to drop Bowma back in Round 3. Philip Botha (S. Africa) defeated Jeff Walsh (Canada) by Unanimous Decision. Finals: Philip Botha defeated Jaral Bowman by Unanimous Dec (Shingo could not continue in the finals due to a broken arm blocking a kick in his match with Bowman. Because of the Survivor Rule, Bowman was allowed to fight in his place. 4-Man Triathlon Tournament Brent Weedman (US) Defeated Phillipp Schace (Germany) by KO in Round 1. Ali Mokdad (Canada) defeated Marisz Ligizynski (Poland) in the MMA round (tap out due to strikes) Brent Weedman defeated Ali Mokdad in the finals by KO in the Thai Boxing round (Left Hook) to win the Middeweight Championship Superfight 1: Phil Sehenuk (US) defeated Chuck Mady in Round 1 of there Triathlon Superfight by knees to the head Superfight 2: Tomasz Jeruszka defeated Driko Vazquez (Costa Rica) by choke in Round of 1 of their MMA bout Superfight 3: Thornstein Kronz defeated Dan Lucas in Round 1 by knee to the head in a Triathlon Match. my friend Ericko from Costa Rica is there! also we had my man Hector Monterrey he was 2001 world open shidokan champion! ohh i like to be there, if somebody gets results or pics of the event would be great if you posted!

Monterrey didnt fight and the other fighter from Costa Rica tapped out in less than 1 minute vs fighter from Poland. |
