Osu!

Can't believe it's that long! I remember teaching in Cork & Dublin in the early 80's when Gerry was the only Irish black belt .....

I'm getting old!

Osu!

Sounds like an excellent evening is planned for a remarkable achievement. I don't suppose you'd consider moving the venue to NYC? I can guarantee support from the locals, and we could all wear Hawaiian shirts or something.

Osu! Bloke,

What happens on tour stays on tour.

Seriously, I had a great time in Dublin (who doesn't) and it was a good trip. Last time I saw Ken Fitzpatrick he kindly gave me a photograph from where we had all trained together on a beach. He remembered it well. I remember sparring with everyone who stood up - they were the days, I could go a bit then .....

Had one of the best nights ever in O'Donahue's - but found out I can't drink Smethicks (or Guinness) at anything like the required pace.

After driving down to Cork in Gerry's battered old Escort, we trained in an old community hall, it was like something out of the Committments, but I couldn't fault the effort put in - there were loads of different styles training and they all lapped it up.

Fantastic group of people. Just need to get the little lady to stamp my Visa now and I'm well up for another trip.

Gary

Just send Bloke your credit card details, and the exact limit of your spending, and he'll make sure of that round...

Being able to say i have first hand experience at what your getting at, i was (on beers) about halfway behind (at the end of the night),... and i didnt participate in any of the "stronger" stuff in between.... i think i can say i am not the proud owner of an irish liver....

So i know exactly what you mean

A great achievement all round would love to be there but will have to see for now (Miss TMD starts college the Monday after so it could be a bit tight).

Keep the info coming Bloke as who knows I might be able to get over to look at a 'project' and claim it back on ex's
