2008 All American Open Karate Championships
Osu!

The All American Open Karate Championships will be held on the 20th of September 2008 in New York City.

I think that several of the K4L members will be in attendance, and a couple may even be competing. Now, I can't say that we can rival our fair British cousins, but we can certainly try to have a rousing get together nonetheless!

Who's in for the day?

i'll be there in fact wondering if i should compete or not. i know the level is pretty high but i'm looking for my first iko1 official tournament and this one is the only one where i'm almost 90% sure not to fight anyone from my dojo.

well if you say so...
the reason why i'm hesitation is cause i only had 1 tourney before and it was at a much lower level. So my plan is to start my off-season trainning in 1 weeks (it's vacation time right now!!) than in early august fighting trainning will start again so i'll give it all i have and will see what happens when september comes around...

I don't think he will compete as he will be training to fight a bigger opponent in the elimination in k-1. I wonder which fighters Shihan Isobe is thinking to bring to this event this year. No andrews nakahara i believe. Probably Edward Tanaka.

I suppose it's too much to hope for that many big names will compete, but I think the standard will be very high nonetheless. With several new fighters, along with some of the well established veterans, it will be a good day.
