His thighs are bigger than my waist!!!! And I wanted children! The only way I can think of is to tell him the TV remote is under the bed.

My boyfriend and I have been together for a year and a half, and yes, we met at the dojo.
In February of last year he became a full-time instructor at our dojo, but I try not to go to his classes so much because I'd like to keep the professional and private sides of our relationship seperate. But we still talk about karate all the time and train together a lot. ;DI couldn't find a picture of us in our gi, so here's the next best thing? :x ![]() |

I spend most of my time in a gi, and i happen to think it looks better on me than a Tuxido! Unfortunately i was not able to wear a gi on my wedding day
![]() As for you not getting an invite because you were a white belt, remeber: A black belt is just a white belt, who didnt give up!![]() ![]()

osu.
i have had two relationships through karate. there are so many of us that are couples because of what we share and understand. my current man is not a kyokushin guy and he freaks out when i come home bruised and battered, my kyokushin men just knew that i did it for love. its all up to you really but just in case keep it out of the dojo. dojo is for training and it made my break ups so much easier by keeping the couple away from the training. we are still women and we still have feelings. |

i met my partner at the dojo and i have to admit that i was charmed by the kyokushin spirit... seeing someone do the workout until they pucked and still ask for more after being ko was impressive.. kinnda weird i know but we are kyokushin or not ?!
like strongman says love is great... but did you guys came across any down side of having a relationship within the dojo. for me it as to do with our ego we sometimes argue about who's right about karate... nothing is perfect

It is very hard sometimes to treat your girlfriend or wife just like a regular student.
We train every day together and ocasionally we have small disputes, but she can control herself and doesn't show it in front of the class. Usually we discuss the issue in private and most of the times it works out. My fiance started karate with me, so she can't realy argue about karate yet... On that note I'm always open to new suggestions ayway, so I don't take it personally if someone tell me something.

Osu!
The Dojo is a tough place to have a relationship, particularly if one is the Sensei. That said, I've seen both spectacular fails (Sensei gets shot by jealous wife. ), and spectacular success (Uncle Dent just got pictures of his nephew. Brand new boy born to Karate parents! )What was that great quote? "Karate doesn't just shape your character, it reveals it!" Osu!

Osu!
I don't know about KyoFighter, but I do have a hard time with that. Inappropriate behaviour from family members in the Dojo is the equivalent of fingernails across the etiquette blackboard. Osu!

Like I said , I treat everyone in the dojo equally. If sometimes I make mistakes is that because I'm only human not because I differenciate the familly member in the dojo.
Sometimes I realize that I expect more from my fiance, but that is because she trains a lot more then the regular students. Our dojo is in my house , in the basement, so we train whenever we want in addition to the regular classes. I'm lucky that I found a wonderfull student in my fiance, she is exceptional human being also, a true example to the rest of the students.
