Dear nzproud,
Is that the drink made with a kind of Brasilian nut? Did it really make you feel stronger? And I must say that the shinpad with leopard pattern is truly ugly. OSU!

LOL Kaka-san. You sometimes have a knack for saying exactly what I am thinking. Leopard skin pads? What next???

Thats so far from a Home run - If I was trying to come up with ideas for designs for shinpads and that came into my mind Id keep my mouth shut.

The drinks kinda do look like acai juice to me, and yes, acai gives you some energy, it's good stuff.

If you are in Ebisu, and get hungry for some non-japanese food, there are a couple of good restuarants not too far from there.....one is Jamaican jerk...and the other one is Zest...set up like a tex-mex cantina
(both were frequent lunch spots when I worked in Ebisu! there is also a great Korean joint that is cheap, on the same street as the Jamaican restaurant!) (if you stop into Zest, ask if Machiko is working. She was my buddy! Typically she is a greeter...tell her Wade says hi! Half of the staff knows me by name!! that place was less than 30 seconds from the old office...almost like a staff cafeteria we were there so much) vapor

So I visited Ichigeki Plaza today around lunch time. I don't know if it was typical for a Monday, but the cafe was empty. I imagined it would be bustling with customers. I didn't check out the rest of the facility, just the first floor.
I bought the premium Ichigeki dogi, which as mentioned in another thread is the same price as the light-weight dogi. The main difference between the premium, light-weight and regular, I was told, was that the premium is made in Japan using cotton with longer fibers in the thread. The others are made in China. From my experience with Isami's made in Japan vs. China dogi, those made in Japan shrink less. |
