At 3:30 you see the Japanese training punches and kicks with Rubber Tubes like seen in Brazilian trainings. I wonder where to get them!

My local sports store sells them but they're a little too pricey (I think it was $29.95 for two)

Budovideos has them as well.

This one looks like the ones they were using
Budovideos.com - Smart Weight 15LB Power Tube Green

Specially made for kicks
Budovideos.com - Powerline Ripcord Resistance Band

Rubber Bands
Budovideos.com - Flat Band Kit

Go to any bike (repair) shop and ask for inner tubes cut: them and tie more together to make bands of different lengths. They are perfectly good and most of the time free!

I have yet to try bicycle tubes, but I have fixed bikes before and they don't look like they have too much give. Have you tried them before? Do they stretch just as much as the ones in the video?

You beat me to it hungheykwun!

I've always used bike tubes and yes, they do have a lot of give. I adjust the lenght of the tubes (tie more together) if i want more give - but you don't want too much give as it won't work you hard enough. I found them very useful training tools.

Also, I have just aquired some bungee cords - Tesco was selling them £1 per pack of 4, so I thought, what the hell, lets buy them and see if I can use them for training. I will have to modify them for some things, but they work pretty well too!!

This "Kyojin no hoshi" type of rubber tube suit gives good training in a limited space.

Ah! The power of globalisation!

Well. I hope you found something suitable. The bungee chords I was talking about are not the type yuo would use for bungee jumping - they are the things you use to secure lugage on top of your car or on the back of your bike. They are as thick as a finger and very easy to grab.

Dear chen3141,
This is a rubber training suit and the gloves are attached to the suit with rubber tubes so when you punch or do weight training, the tubes just pull your arms back and there provides the resistance.

I wrap them around my hands and hold them tight!!

Wrap a bandage around my ankle and hook them to it (the other end attached to a fence pole, no person behind me)

I've never lost the grip when using them but I still exercise caution.
