Osu!

It does look very professional. I'm sure you will enjoy wearing it, and being the envy of the Dojo.

Hi Antsan,

I was hoping you could share your K500 purchasing experience with me?

I'm getting ready to order a K500 dogi from chokesports but am totally confused with the sizes, when I cross reference the sizes on the site with gis that I own (and fit well) I come up with 5L pants and 5 jacket.

But the confusing part is, when I look at the height on the chokesports site (& weight on the isami size tables) the closest match is 6 for height (and 5 for weight).

Is it just me or do the sizes seem really large? I'm pretty sure they're the "after wash" measurements as it says so on the chokesports table?

Mudanshatron, we'd like to welcome you to the Forum properly. Why not head over to the Introductions section, and tell us a little about yourself?

Osu!,

No problems! Best bet is to completely ignore the height and weight tables as they're completely missleading. Cross check your sizes with the Gi's you already own. After my experience I actually made a thread here: http://www.kyokushin4life.com/forums...ami-dogis.html

Initially I ordered a size 5 gi and a size 4L for my girlfriend with embroidered names, I was just matching sizes based on my existing gi - Mistake!

However Isami sent the names embroidered on the wrong gi's. This ended up being a blessing in disguise as my name on the Size 4L jacket was perfect with the size 5 pants. I gave the 4L pants to my girlfriend and chokesports sent her a brand new size 4 jacket with embroidery free of charge.

You'll notice we both have a size up in the pants, this seems to be because we as westerners have longer legs than what the japanese allow for in each size range.

Hope this helps!

Thank you ANTSAN!

You've confirmed my thoughts exactly, I was leaning towards a combination with the pants one size up - as the sizing seems more in proportion that way.

I'll also read through the thread you posted.

Thanks Again
