I was trying to find Chuck Norris on google cause I wanted to know more about his Karate back ground and look what I found... I didn tfound anything

Shito Ryu with Fumio Demura; he is a yudansha but I have no idea what Dan in shito ryu he is. I know he has a relationship with or had one with Steve Curran in Tacoma, WA. Curran is a "shito ryu" instructor, but I call what he does more American freestyle karate. Anyhoo, Norris might have trained with Curran and vice versa, I have no idea. I do know that Curran used to use his picture with Norris on the set of Walker, Texas Ranger as an advertisement in the phonebook for his school.
I think the Kobudo that Norris has in his chun kuk do system is kobudo that he learned from Fumio Demura but don't quote me on that.

I also always wondered about what he studied, Wikipedia does two or three style, but I'm unfamiliar with any of them.

You forget practicing Jeet Kune Do under Bruce Lee. Also, as far as I could figure out, Chun Kuk Do is mostly based on Tang Soo Do, but also other styles.

The poster was asking about his karate background, hence me mentioning that he trained and is a yudansha in Shito Ryu. Norris was given a 8th Dan in Taekwondo, too. Norris was also a Judoka before he took up TSD in Korea. He also has a black belt under Gene Lebell, black belt in BJJ under Rigan Machado...and yes, he did train with Bruce Lee but had a lot more training with Gene, Rigan, and Demura. There also was a time when the difference between TKD and TSD was almost no difference but name.
I don't mean this to be rude but I'm very familiar with Chuck Norris and know a bit about his martial art background. If you didn't know, the Machado family are cousins to the Gracie family.

Hmm, I always thought that Chuck was a Tang Soo Do student - I'm pretty sure I read about that in a Black Belt magazine article somewhere...

The (in)famous Chuck Norris facts are a joke, as you might have figured out, but I believe what powerofone stated is indeed truth.

Chuck Norris has also been awarded a high ranking grade bij Jon Bluming, Kaicho of International Kyokushin Budokaikan. (but of course you all know who Bluming Kaicho is!) The grading of Chuck is on the site of the IBK. Mr. Norris' first style was Tang Soo Do, the Korean interpretation of karate.

I used to do Tang Soo Do myself, and I constantly heard the same thing.
