Finally!!!....back to training!
Hey all!
Just writing cause I'm excited to get back to training on Monday!! Long story, cut not so short... I stopped training in november last year because Uni had finished and I needed to get out of wellington, so I went over to europe to catch up with friends and family, intending to get back to training in January when I returned. But would you bloody believe it?, the day before I was to start training, I fell off my mates bike and twisted my ankle! So I was like, "damn, theres another 3 weeks no training" as it was kinda sore.. 3 weeks go by and I'm positivly itching to back to Kyokushin...but although the ankle was working again, I was still getting pain when I put it under stress. So I went to the doctor to get ACC for some Physio to speed up the healing. He sent me for a routine x-ray....and well, turns out I had actually broken my ankle! Great! So that explains the rest of the time why I have not been to training. So sad... ![]() The silly thing is, it wasnt even a bad crash.....just a litlle tumble while under the influence...so dont drink and ride bicycles! Looking forward to getting beaten up on Monday! Finally!! OSU! James

Uncle perked up when he heard you're coming back! He wondered if you'd managed not to lose your ponamu in Europe.
![]() My boss just broke her ankle by rolling it while walking sober.... so don't walk sober either. |

Ponamu is safe and sound thanks
![]() Wow, walking is fast becoming an extreme sport these days...thrill seekers only! I find it kind of strange, being able to really push the body further than you would expect in some ways, and then ending up off work for weeks because you stepped a bit funny? Now that Ive said im coming back to training, I feel like murphys law will have me walk into a lampost or something... Osu!

Oh and thanks guys for the 'Well wishes'
Brad: I think it was just beer, but it was free beer, and that always spells trouble!

oh ya poor thing!
It cant be fun to be laid up for so long! Good luck getting back on track! ![]() Dent: Trainings going great thanks! I'm settling into this dojo/style now, it took awhile, but ive finally let go of my old views. so i am really enjoying and getting the most out of kyokushin training now...it helps that we have such a great dojo, friendly fellow karate-ka and awesome sensei of course! The other day when we knelt and closed our eyes before training(still dont know japanese trms). It felt like id come home...nice feeling. Hope your training is also going well? ![]() James
