A friend in Florida got one for his dog. "Shihan" is now a 5th degree black belt, and we are all very respectful.

What I love most is meeting the guys who bought this sort of cert. (2 so far) Ask them to train, and their pants get fairly twisted.

So, now you can add a fake black belt degree to a fake college diploma (you may have heard of those diploma mills, you will issue you one for a small paymemt)....

The only other thing you will need to add is a personality to the mix to become a well rounded person!!!

Why is the world so eager to adorn themselves with these quick and painless symbols??!!

I think a while ago there were people putting up Kyokushin belts and certificates (looks real and come without names) on Japanese Yahoo. It became an instant joke in the Kyokushin community.

I'd love to see it. You know, kind of like an accident you can't stop craning your neck to look at. I've got to think this training is going to look like that.

Its not the certificate on your wall or the belt around your waist that makes you a yudansha......

I just hope that whoever buying these are for collection purpose only. The unsuspecting parents will not be able to tell the rotten apple from the others when choose an instructor for the children. And of course, one can still be that rotten apple even if he or she is a real Yudansha.

Quite funny...very recently one of the heads of a government department here in New Zealand was busted having a fake Phd!!!
Imagine that, sticking a fake in your CV for a top job, and you actually GET the job, and Keep it for quite a while...crazyness!!

I suspect that a wall full of these will impress most people. I also think that while a real Yudansha might be bad, anyone who uses these as a qualification is automatically bad. They are without either ethics or honesty.

When someone's character is so flawed, what can they possibly teach...?

If they are using the black belt to claim they have qualifications so they can teach others, then yes that is wrong. However, if they just put it up on their wall as a talking point then I don't see the harm... maybe they have no self-confidence or like being the centre of attention, or just like talking about themselves, etc. There are so many different personality "quirks", that if they need to do this to feel good about themselves or don't have anything better to do... then I just feel very sorry for them.

Its like the old debate: is the person bad, or just the actions they perform?
