all marshal arts are well respected weather it be karate ot tqd
all marshal arts are based on the same thing disiplin, respect,
and much more i started marshal art because i was the worsted guy in the world
basicly and i wanted to do something about it so i started kyokushin karate
but you look around befour you start research what you choses are go to a training night watch the ask the sampai/sensi ect. questions.

after all that then make your choice

OS Sensei,

I should have been clearer, I meant fighting when I spoke of Battle and not battlefield. Plus, I read up on a traditional JJJ black belt speaking on his experience vs a BJJ blue belt, he got creamed. He described feeling completly lost and inefficient.

You are too kind. I am only a student, not a Sensei.

I think I understand what you mean. You mean a one-on-one in the Dojo, right?

IMO, real JJJ gets a bad image the same way as real CMA does. It is taken out of context, then does poorly under rules not its own. Tough to do well if you can only use a very small portion of your curriculum.

I still wonder how many authentic JJJ Dojo there are outside of Japan?
