I guess it depends on what you get used to... I have always trained on carpet floors, and I never get carpet burns, however when I go to gradings or to camp its wooden or puzzle mat floors, and I usually end up removing a couple of layers of skin off my toes and balls of the feet in particular.
As for the sweat, I don't think it matters much, I somehow manage to find others peoples rings of sweat on the floor, although the carpet does soak it up more and it isn't so slippery. Either way its still a bit gross. |

Osu!
There are many kinds of finish for wooden floors. I've installed Dojo floors twice before, and the sealant varieties were numerous. Sport specific finishes that are neither too slippery, nor too sticky, are widely available. The best option is to get advice from a professional. ![]() Osu!

*sort of unrelated* I don't mind training on wooden floors but hate them when having to sit seiza and do meditation.
