Fair point - perhaps "In many karate dojo the concept of" reads better.

Most of the major styles in the UK still use points fighting, which as you know often favours counterpunching .....

And while I know not everyone agrees with me, I still think that that system of Kumite is counterproductive on several fronts. As a group, I think the refusal to evaluate their own system, based on empirical evidence, is going to push more and more people toward us as contact-based schools.

We certainly won't get everyone, but we will continue to grow.
