Wink Hi from Singapore-OSU!

I'm a 17 year old Shodan from Singapore, currently on probation, before officiating as a yudansha. Have been training in Kyokushin for 5 years and took my Shodan grading 2 weeks ago. It would be great to come closer to the international Kyokushin community and share our standards and bring our Karate to greater height in both skill and understanding.

Hi! Thanks for the warm welcome!
Hi vapor. We in Singapore are a small community (8 dojos) led by Shihan Peter Chong. Seeing from youtube training videos of training in Japan, we've pretty preserved most of the intensity and techniques, and all the same pain in kumite. My sempai who's been in Japan honbu for training sessions compares the diff in that we in Singapore have more hard kihon than the Japanese Karatekas, who major in kumite. And their kumite is GOOD.
Ya. And our total blackbelt count, despite our organisation being around for 38 yrs is less than 200. We still stay loyal to the Kyokushin requirement for a yudansha.
Which I think is really important in Singapore where many other martial arts have been commercialize and you don't get quality instruction no matter what you pay. At least there's something behind that cloth belt we wear. Not just a price tag.
This is just a lil bit from me.
