Yes, it is physically difficult to start doing Martial arts at an older age level. However, you have the benefit of experience to support you through your challenges. I'm sure that you have had to face difficult moments in your life, and have developed the strength to live through them, this will be the backbone of your training.
I know that I would have quit karate if I had started in my teen years. I would have not accepted the challenge, and I would have walked away. Welcome to the forum Niceguy! I wish you the best in your new found path! |

Glad that you are here!
I am sure that many have gone through the feeling of frustration when your body does not respond as quickly or in line with what your mind wants! Give it time! vapor

Hey niceguy,
Welcome to the forum. What club do you train at in London? It takes time to adjust to anything new physically wise as you get older i guess, but keep at it. Make it a future goal to improve your flexability! ![]() ![]()

I train at the Tokei club (London bridge) with Sensei Orlando Roach. He drilled us like crazy!!After the class a shodan spent 20 mins on stretching tips with me so I could do at home. Nice bunch! Thank you all for your welcome to K4l. ous!
