Introduction... sort of

Surprise! It's your favourite Nix! Confused? I can explain.

This will be my 1000th post; it will effectively send me into virtual yudansha-ship. I figured that it should be special, and discovered that I never got around to introduce myself when I first joined almost 2 years ago. So here it is! A formal introduction and a quick peek behind the mask!

I am a 22-year old Norwegian in exile, and have now lived in Denmark for a decade. I first started martial arts when I my mother and I started TKD when I was around 7 or 8 years old. I regretted quitting, but I got the chance to join Ashihara Karate in 1999. I had a 2-year break during high-school, so I have currently practiced for about 8 years, 3 of which I have been an assistant or instructing my own class. I am ranked 3rd kyu, and do not plan to grade anytime soon.

When I'm not at the dojo, I am a student of graphic design. I am however at a cross-road in life, as I have not been able to gain an apprenticeship to finish my education here in Denmark, and will need to either move abroad or find something else to do .

Hmmm, what else?
- I am terrified of heights.
- I like coffee. A lot.
- I also like booze, problem is I have an alcohol toleration equal to zero. Luckily I don't drink very often.
- I have managed to study 15 years without doing homework.
- I answer to Nix in real life.
- I have one tattoo (my name in thai on the inside of my left arm) and plan to get more.
- I have had more than one long-lasting romantic relationship (>6 months) without knowing it myself. Fun. ("Waitaminute - are we a couple?")
- I loathe housework. Really. With exception to cooking.
- I am addicted to several animated tv-shows, greatest of them is Futurama. If I don't have a few episodes running on the telly, I simply cannot fall asleep at night.
- I am plotting for world dominance.
- My favourite thing about K4L is that the members are generally mature and understanding, despite different opinions. It is quite possible to have a disagreement, while still remaining calm and discuss the subject as adults, without resorting to name-calling.
- I am now bored with this post, and will end it.

This is the end of my little belated introduction rant. I have enjoyed my visit so far, and hope to continue so.

Nice Idea Nix and congrats on the 1000 post

I started life as a precision engineer and was gutted when my apprenticeship got canceled and I had to shift into a/c engineering - I now earn around twice that of the average precision engineer, life is sometimes like that.

I also like booze, problem is I have an alcohol toleration equal to zero.

- Just makes you a cheep date I would count this as lucky.
