Hello from New York - Osu!

I'm originally from Trinidad, but I now live in New York. I used to train in Kishi Karate as a teenager during my life in Trinidad, but now that I've moved to America, I've been training under Sensei Hiro Iwata, and so far, every experience has been both a challenge and enlightening.
I'm still a kohai, but nevertheless, I hope to correspond more with this new online Kyokushin family, and I look forward to learning more and growing stronger every day.

I'm not sure if you heard of or were at the training workshop at Shurenkan Dojo in Bayonne, NJ that took place last Saturday, but I was there with Sensei Iwata.
It was a very exciting workshop, and I enjoyed meeting all those new and familiar faces (and of course, the food was awesome, lol). I was also at Sensei Sato's last workshop as well. I look forward to a couple more workshops that I heard will take place in the future.

Yes, I was there. You should have joined us for the K4L photo op!
