Hello from France
Hi everyone,
I've been hanging on this interesting and lively forum for a while, but never participated. Mainly because I was to lazy to write the required introduction post! Anyway, I've been practicing shotokan karate for 6 years now, and I also did some kyokushin for one year at the IKO1 dojo in New York (in 2006). It was a good experience, and I'd like to train in a similar style again. Unfortunately, there's no kyokushin dojo where I live (France). I think I'll give Muay Thai a try. See you all on the forum, Phil |

Welcome to being a "visible" member of the Forum. I'm glad you have overcome that initial inertia...and written your intro post. I'm also glad to see that our message about intro posts was so clear!!!
![]() Anyway, welcome to this forum. We look forward to hearing your views and opinions over the years to come! ![]()

Unfortunately, Kyokushin Karate is not so popular here in France. On the other hand, you can find more "traditional" karate schools pretty much everywhere.
There are some kyokushin dojos here and there though. But the closest one to my city (Grenoble) is 1 hour away by car. Eventually, I plan on moving somewhere else, but in the meantime I'll try to find some muay thai or kick boxing club. I'll do some research to find something that suits me. |

Welcome to the forums
As we have reached (and Exceeded) the maximum number of posts for an introduction thread I will close this one but please do continue to post elsewhere in the forum.
