Osu welcome to K4L.
MT vs. Kyokushin it's all debatable, One of my buddies does MT and until he knew what Kyokushin really was he would pressure me to go and train with him, giving me all the reasons under the sun why his style was better. For what it's worth, in regards to stand-up technique we've discovered that a good number of techniques are very similar if not the same. My advise it to train in both and see which one you prefer. Osu.

yashin,
One can not say that one style is better than another. It's all of personal preference, the individual dojo/gym etc. You really have to decide for yourself. I am confident that you are allowed a few free lessons. Good luck with it. As this thread has reached its maximum number of posts for an intro thread, I will now close it. ~ Nix
