K4L community!

I have been reading along for some time now and finally took the time to create a login. Great site, very informative and welcoming.

As can be seen from the title, I am a Danish Kyokushin karate-ka. I am well into my second year of training, this time around that is. Originally, a friend and I took up Kyokushin back in 2001 but we never pursued it as far as I would now wish we had. Eventually, we let other things (such as studies and jobs) take up to much of our time so that, by august 2002, we started what - fortunately - was only a longer break from Kyokushin training.

Last year (spring 2007) we recommenced training along with two other friends, and this time, we aren't looking back. We train 3-4 times a week, though we are still just as busy working or studying. So what has happened in the five years or so in between? Basically, we just learned to get our priorities straight, I guess. I have found that Will to do it and the Planning to back it up are essential.

That was a little something about me. If there is anything you would like to know, feel free to ask. I might even try and answer it.

Nice to have another Danish karate-ka on board. May I ask where you practice? And more importantly, will you be at Jutland Open (Åbne Jyske Mesterskaber i semikontakt) in Randers next weekend?

I practice in Roskilde (near Copenhagen). I will not be participating in Jutland Open. Not this year, at least.

Welcome to the forum and for what it's worth if you are thinking of entering next year go this year and see what you've got to work on for the next 12 months
