It is an acquired taste that is for sure.

When ever I mention something about the smell, and that it is fermented----the argument always gets made to explain the difference between natto and cheese....such as blue or munster cheese....same principle

I actually have problems eating anything when sitting next to someone eating it. I remember having to place myself at another table just to be able to eat breakfast

lol it reminds me a comedy japanese program... there was a char called "Hard gay" or something like that, some people here must know it... Anyway, this char try to make childrens eat foods with bad taste and this natto was one of it, he made a lot of natto in different ways... in the end the childrens just hated anyway lol! Never laughed so much

That's a weird thing! The same happened to me.. the nasty tatoo not the glasses falling off (though it brings back memories from before I had laser correction).
