Not sure about the kanjis sorry.

[edit] I just tested it on my keyboard that may be it. However, the 2nd character means 'lose, loss or defeated' in Japanese. Would you want that?

Yes "houfu" can be roughly translated as "aspiration" or "resolution" (as in "shinnen no houfu", New Year's Resolution). Having said that, I do not think it looks cool to put the kanji "houfu" on your body. Of course this is your own decision.

OSU!

Yeah?! Im definitely keen, though I havent been training that much, 6 weeks out from my Shodan Shinza and I tear a muscle in my hip. Awesome. Game Over. See you June 08.
But I should be off the walking frame by that stage.
I'll PM you my keitai email and we can set it up.

Thank you nzproud and kakatootoshi.
I downloaded Microsoft IME or something and I came up with the same kanji as well.
Nzproud-san however says the second kanji means something like defeated.
Could you clarify this for me kakatootoshi-san?
Thanks for your time, Osu!

PS: Yes, I agree it's not the most pretty kanji out there but it's the meaning that I like

What a bummer it would be if it ended up meaning something entirely different... like idiot or something. I would have to live with it for the rest of my life so I wanted to make sure by posting it here.^^
osu A-jay,
I'm also looking for a tattoo, actually I'm going to make an existing one larger
by adding some water and stripes. In this water will rise a rock and on it is carved the kyokushin symbol and the kanji of "nintai".

Dear A-jay,
The kanji in concern appears in words like “make” (defeat) and “fuka” (load), just a few examples. However you cannot analyze a kanji like that. Chocolate spells “Choco-late”, but it has nothing to do with “being late” (I think there are other better examples, like "cat" in "category"). But again I will say wearing a “houfu” tattoo will only make you look cool among people who do not understand the kanji (if that is what you want).

OSU!
