I'm no expert in Japanese, but this is what I know.
戦う ( TATAKA U ) literally reads "fighting" as you requested. This character (戦) alone reads SEN. Don't know what you need it for, but if you're going for a tattoo, I wouldn't use (戦う), but (戦). Other examples of the character used in words, to give you a feel for the kanji. 戦争= SENSOU = war/warfare 戦士= SENSHI = soldier/warrior 戦史= SENSHI = military history/history of war 戦死= SENSHI = death in action/battle Hope this helps. |

There are a few Kanji characters stand for "fight".
