Osu! Hasbeen,
Absolutely! I offered, as per our custom, but got rather a puzzled look. Apparently there the person inviting assumes responsibility for paying the tab. (Mental note: Never invite friends out to expensive restaurants in Japan) Sensei Tatsuo Nakamura is busy with his SeiTai clinic now in Oxford. It's very successful and he works very hard. For relaxation now he plays Golf. I still see him every year as he respects Kancho Ninomiya and much to his wife's amazement he takes time off work (unheard of usually) to spend time with him when he comes over. Gary

Osu! Hasbeen,
Early 90's I think, not sure if 92 or 93 ish. I've been under the thumbs a few times as a patient. Pretty damned uncomfortable during treatment as it's like a very deep acupressure technique. A few minutes after the treatment though, you feel great! While I was in Japan he was taking school three nights a week, teaching three nights a week, working six days a week and taking classes all day on Sundays. The mans work ethic is incredible, as is his energy level. He still pops over to Japan and China to study, so I'd recommend him to anyone with an injury their GP's never seen before (and so just does the usual - fobs you off with paracetemol and "rest") Gary

Osu Gary, thank you for your fascinating stories! I'd like to know if you got to drink with Nakamura Makoto shihan as well, as his drinking prowess is well-known?

Osu! Iwaks,
No - he was driving so never touched a drop. Thank goodness for that! I never drink more than the odd pint of bitter so I would have definately lost that one. Gary
