2006 ichigeki??

Has anyone heard any rumors about this years ichigeki event?

Last year there was a event in paris (at the Bercy martial art festival) aswell, anyone know if there was one at this years bercy MA festival?

I think this year so far there has only been one Ichigeki event in Brazil.

I knew that Filho had started a ichigeki gym in brazil, but I had not heard anythin about a them holding a event.
on this sub-page was a full fightlist. one 8-man knockdown tournament + a superfight, 4 kickboxing fights and 4 MMA fights

If memory serves me correctly, Ichigeki used to be annual, but it was held at least twice in 2005. If that is any indicator (especially with the grand opening of Ichigeki Plaza last year), I think Filho wants to hold more of these events in the future.

I have heard that the organizers want to conduct Ichigeki preliminary events over the world and yes this is much like K-1 GP. But I do not know when this will happen. By the way there should be an Icigeki event in Tokyo this Feburary but it was cancelled at the end.

That would be grat. I think we're all disgusted with the way K-1 has been conducted in the last 3 years. I think a new alternative will be welcome.

In 5/5 there will be an Ichigeki in Bulgaria (perhaps Varna?).
Kou Taisei will be fighting.

The Ichigeki in Varna was on 25th of March. It was a national Ichigeki in order to ensure the team for the international Ichigeki that will be held in the 5th May again in our seaside capital city- Varna

The official quests were Katsuhito Gorai(5th Dan Kyokushin), Antonio Pineiro(VII Dan Kyokushin), Hollander(VIII Dan Kyokushin), Adnjei Drevnyak(VII Dan Kyokushin), Alexander Ipatov Shihan from Russia. The tournament was sponsored by Armeec Insurance Company and was organized by the Bulgarian Kyokushin Organization lead by HRISTO Traikov Sensei, who with Asen Asenov Sensei were the trainers of the Bulgarian Kyokushin team.
