Comments on the Slowinski fight. Is it a kick vs kick fight between Feitosa of kyokushinkaikan and Slowinski of muay thai?(G = Glaube)

G: It was a fight which rallied into a decision. But the first difference between us was that he was just using kicks while I was comfortable with using both kicks and punches. His leg kicks are strong but for me I can kick to the head in addition to the legs. And I think my punching has contributed to my victory in this fight.

What have you done specially to improve your punching skills?
G: My "ichigeki team" has given me big support. And also Ray Sefo has taught me various skills in boxing.

You train with Ray Sefo before the fight?
G: We first met six years ago and trained together before fights. Yes we train together before this opening fight for GP.

How have you two been getting along?
G: We're like brothers (laughs). We first met in Denver of US at a training session. Also my trainer in a cousion of Ray. We are just like family.

It's a surprise. You, being a karateka is more gentle and silent while Sefo is more passionate.
G: Yes some think he's more active while I'm pretty much settled down (laughs). I know Ray through Francisco Filho. It feels good. He's very kind, very intelligent and I don't feel pain at all.

How long have you been living in japan?
G: About 2 and a half years.

What are the most di'fficult things for you?
G: The language it must be. I must put more time in studying but this is impossible.

What do you like about japan?
G: I like japan a lot. Everything follows good order. People are different from those in brazil as they respect budo people a lot. People here accept me and there aren't many thieves here and it's very safe

Glaube said "If you want to fight passively, that you cannot win even if you can avoid injuries. Therefore you must be careful. I learnt this well in my karate era. I now have to become even more careful because my ability now to recover from damages is different from that age."
